Hala Samaan, MA

Art Therapist & Professional Counselor Associate

Approach

My name is Hala and I’m an Art Therapist and Professional Counselor Associate. I practice from person-centered, solution-focused, and existential-humanistic, and trauma-informed perspectives which are rooted in unconditional empathy and compassion with no judgements. Art Therapy is a therapeutic modality that focuses the visual and metaphorical elements through the art process to help promote healing and understanding. My belief is to create a brave and supportive space for clients, rooted in empathy and compassion, where they can discover authentic ways to lead fulfilling lives.

I recognize how our day-to-day life and experiences can play a vital role in how we show up in our lives. Our routines, interactions, and encounters mold us in profound ways, influencing our thoughts, emotions, and actions. These seemingly small moments collectively shape our understanding of ourselves and the world around us. I am also very aware of the impacts systematic and social injustices that can have on our identities and worldviews. By delving into the implications of systemic and social inequalities, we can work towards a deeper understanding of how these factors influence our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Through this process, we can pave the way for personal growth, resilience, and the discovery of one's own agency in the face of adversity.

The most powerful tool in therapy is the relationship built by our therapists and their clients. That’s why we offer a free 30-minute consultation to determine if we’d be a good fit.
