In this day and age, young adults face challenges that are unique to their generation. No longer are people getting married and starting families right out of high school or college. People between the ages of 18 and 29 are instead taking time to explore things like career and education, love and family, where they want to live, and what their worldviews are before committing to something specific. You may feel stuck between having to play by your parents’ rules and becoming your own independent person out in the world. You may have outgrown childhood, but may not identify as a full-fledged adult yet. Often, society puts pressure on you to have things figured out, when you’re still exploring your options. You may have graduated college with significant student loan debt and feel pressure to get a high-paying job, when the reality is that you’re barely being offered entry-level jobs. Or maybe you decided that college wasn’t for you and you’re struggling with what to do next.
